This Sunday at OPBC: Grand Celebration- 250th Anniversary

The week of the celebration is finally here! Though our church was founded in early spring of 1771, we’ve waited this year to celebrate together. God has been so faithful to OPBC over the years and we want to make much of HIM this Sunday. With music, special guests, a great FREE BBQ meal, fun for the kids… all to celebrate! DON’T MISS IT! RSVPs are not necessary, but you can let us know you are coming by CLICKING HERE.

There will be NO CHILDCARE OR NURSERY this week so that our volunteers can join in the celebration. Bring out your children and enjoy worship together as a family. We will meet on the lawn down next to the cemetery… where the original church building once stood. The weather looks great! We will provide a lot of chairs, but feel free to bring your own lawn chair if you want.

Pastor Emeritus Tom Keehan will be with us for an interview with Pastor Brad about the last 25 years of ministry at OPBC and a look forward to What’s New at Old Powhatan. 100% of the offering for this Sunday will go to OPBC’s new Building Fund. We’ve asked everyone to PRAY about how God would have you GIVE sacrificially to help us kick off this exciting new venture.

After the service, you can walk through a history display in the Welcome Center on your way to a great BBQ meal and a time of fellowship with bouncy houses for the kids and photo booth for families. Come and make memories with us!

SONGS FOR WORSHIP:

We will sing Exiles – a song by our own Dan Bryant in honor of our 250th Anniversary plus some of our favorites from over the years.
