Super Bowl XLVIII is almost upon us. Admittedly, I am pretty excited about this game as my long-time favorite team, the Seattle Seahawks, have made it to their 2nd Super Bowl ever (I still say they got cheated last time). This Sunday evening our Growth Groups will be gathering for fellowship together and the game will be on… You need to jump in with a Growth Group… get signed up by emailing us here... but I wanted to give you a few thoughts and resources as you prepare for the biggest football game of the year.
1. Don’t make the game the event. Make sure as you gather that the people watching the game are the most important elements of your gathering around the big game. This should even involve inviting new people to hang out with you.
2. Have good food. Don’t skimp on the good food. Food is a primary way we fellowship and says a lot about how we value one another.
3. Don’t watch halftime… even though Bruno Mars is a talented guy… this could be the most important time of the game to fellowship… or a time for the Gospel.
