The absolute best role I play in my life is as a Husband. And it is the best, because my wife is the best. Our marriage is not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but I cannot dive to the depths of thanksgiving that I feel because of God’s grace shown to me in allowing me to be married to Jo Anny. Here are just a few of the many reasons I am thankful.

1. I am thankful for Jo Anny’s patience.
2. I am thankful for Jo Anny’s love for Jesus that far supercedes mine.
3. I am thankful for Jo Anny’s love for others and for the Body of Christ.
4. I am thankful for Jo Anny’s constant striving for excellence as a way to honor Christ.
5. I am thankful for Jo Anny’s unwavering support in ministry.
6. I am thankful that Jo Anny works harder than anyone I know.
7. I am thankful for the eternal investment Jo Anny is making in our children, in the children of our church, and in EVERY child she meets.
8. I am thankful for Jo Anny’s style sense.
9. I am thankful for Jo Anny’s snoring… I would miss it and do miss it every time we are apart.
10. I am thankful for Jo Anny’s overwhelming commitment to taking the Gospel to the nations, and her support whenever and wherever I go.
11. I am thankful for Jo Anny’s contentment as my wife… even when being married to me is the hardest thing about her life.
12. I am thankful for Jo Anny’s honesty and integrity.
13. I am thankful that Jo Anny is the greatest part of my ministry and that no one would ever want to get rid of me… because that would mean they would have to get rid of her too.
14. I am thankful for our children… and the mother you are to them.
15. I am thankful to God for the great mercy and grace He has shown to me in you… I don’t deserve you.

Husbands… find ways to thank God today for the person He has made your wife. If she is in Christ, she is a new creature… and that is for His glory and your good.

I am thankful… and Jo Anny, you are the chief earthly reason for my joy.
