What did the angel say to Joseph? Why was Joseph supposed to name the baby Jesus?
Jesus means “He will save His people from their sins.” He did this by living the perfect life that we couldn’t and wouldn’t live. He learned as a child to read and write God’s Word and His heart led Him always to follows God’s Word. Jesus was tempted, but never sinned. Jesus then died the death that we deserved, to give those who trust in Him a gift that we could never afford – forever life with Him.
PRAY:Thank Jesus for living a perfect life for you. Thank Jesus for dying in my place for your sins. Ask Him to help you live for Him and to trust Him even when you are tempted to sin. Ask Him to save other people you know and those who have never heard about Jesus.
