Now that we have returned to Powhatan, we are in the process of evaluating our trip to Toronto. We have been challenged, encouraged, and taught as we walked and drove the streets of Toronto and met many people, hearing their stories and their hearts. Please pray for our church planting missionaries as they faithfully go to the “white unto harvest” fields.

Over the last two days of the trip, we met with Jordon and Sydney, church planting missionaries to the Parkdale area of Toronto. Jordon and Sydney are engaging the community of Parkdale through open gyms, serving the marginalized, and engaging the large Tibetan Buddhist population in the area. Jordon has a huge burden for the Tibetans in Parkdale. Please pray for opportunities to share the Gospel and for the Holy Spirit to bring hearts to life. Pray for Jordon and Sydney (newlyweds) as they adjust to Toronto and as they expect their first child.

We also had the pleasure of meeting Kouroesh, church planting pastor to Persian immigrants in the North York area of Toronto. His story of the Lord’s power and provision was captivating and inspiring. He continues to work faithfully to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with his people. Please pray for his paperwork with Toronto Church Planting and NAMB to go through quickly to help him with funding and support.

Special thanks to our hosts for the trip, Scott and Kristen Rourk. Pray for their work and as they seek to encourage, exhort, and lead their church planting team while praying that more workers would come to serve among the peoples of Toronto. Pray about the future opportunities Rendezvous Church will have as God opens doors. Pray about how you and I will faithfully serve to reach the city of Toronto with the transforming Gospel of Jesus Christ. Pray for how we will model this and continue this work in Powhatan and beyond.
