What did Simeon know would happen before he died? Why did Simeon praise God?
The Holy Spirit gives us eyes to see God with our mind and heart… to know Him and to trust Him. Simeon saw the baby Jesus and knew that he was seeing the Messiah, the King that he had waited his whole life for. No matter how old or big we are, without the Holy Spirit, we are too small to know God… we must be born again. Jesus came to give us minds and hearts to see the truth.
PRAY: Thank God for sending Jesus to give us the Holy Spirit. Thank Him for helping us to know Him. Ask Him to help us know Him more. Ask Him to help us live for Him.
